Trade fair and conference for renewable energy and energy efficient building and renovation taking place for the first time in Salzburg.

The RENEXPO® Austria, International Trade Fair and Conference for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Building and Renovation will take place for the first time from November 26th - 28th in the Trade Fair Centre Salzburg. The trade fair and conference will cover the entire range of regenerative energies and energy efficient construction and renovation. Special emphasis will be placed on bioenergy and energy efficiency in construction and renovation. No other trade fair in Austria features as wide a span of topics as the RENEXPO® Austria. Over the coming years, it aims to become Austria's state energy trade fair.

Several exhibitors from the areas of bioenergy, energy consultation, mobility, hydro power and heat pumps have registered for the premiere of the trade fair. Around 100 exhibitors will present their innovations and highlights to over 4,000 visitors. The State Office of Salzburg will, for example, offer free energy consultation on 176 m². Adissa FE Austria GmbH will present their new electric scooter. The company BEA Electrics GmbH will introduce a new model of hydrodynamic screw, and the company Plankel – Grund- und Bohrtechnik GmbH will offer an open-air presentation of their geothermal heat pump drill. The Salzburg AG will present test drives of electric bicycles, mountain bikes and Segways on the electric mobility course, as well test drives of electric scooters, a Mercedes B-Class with a biogas engine (MB 170 NGT), a Skoda Okavia with a biogas engine or a VW Passat Ecofuel with a biogas engine on public roads. The company Silent Future Tec GmbH will present an open-air wind power demonstration, SUN-Kontor GmbH will present, along with tilo GmbH, Silber Windows GmbH and Mirako GmbH, samples of all the NATWOOD-Amberwood products from “NATWOOD-Cluster” that are currently on the market, and the Tiroler Zukunftsstiftung is presenting a collaborative booth with Heliotherm Heat Pumps GmbH, SOLON HILBER Technologie GmbH and Meco World GmbH news and innovations from the area of heat pumps, solar and electric mobility.

Along with the exhibition, there will be several conferences taking place, including the “1st Austrian Energy Adviser Day”, where energy consultants with different expertise from around Austria will meet and exchange information. In addition, a conference on “Easier Building – Better Living” with BAUGENIAL will be taking place with presentations from, among others, Prof. Wolfgang Feist from the Passive House Institute who will be available for a discussion afterwards. The “1st Small Hydropower Conference for New Development, Renovation and Revitalization” with the European Small Hydropower Association (ESHA) as a partner is set to become the central Europan meeting point for the industry. In addition, the 1st RENEXPO® AUSTRIA Conference for Woodenergy will also take place.

The continuity of the high-quality knowledge transfer is largely due to the strong network behind the RENEXPO® Austria. Niki Berlakovich, the Austrian Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, Sepp Eisl, District Administrator for Agriculture and Forestry in Salzburg as well as local adminstrator Julius Schmalz, President of the Economic Chamber have all announced their sponsorship.

The RENEXPO® Austria will take place from November 26th - 28th in the Trade Fair Centre Salzburg. It is open on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The entry fee on Thursday and Friday is €12, or €10 with a discount, and on Saturday €8, or €5 with a discount.
